Effingham County
Effingham County, founded in 1831, is one of 102 counties in the US state of Illinois. In the year 2000, the county had a population of 34,264 inhabitants and a population density of 28 people per km². The county seat is Effingham, and the county is named after Lord Edward Effingham.
