Richmond County
Richmond County, founded in 1777, is one of 159 counties in the US state of Georgia. In the year 2000, the county had a population of 212,775 inhabitants and a population density of 238 people per km². The county seat is Augusta, and the county is named after Charles Lenox, Earl of Richmond.
