McDuffie County
McDuffie County, founded in 1870, is one of 159 counties in the US state of Georgia. In 2007, the county had a population of 21,551 inhabitants and a population density of 32 people per km². The county seat is Thomson, and the county is named in honor of General George McDuffie. The county is also part of the Augusta metropolitan area.
