Douglas County
Douglas County is a county in the US state of Georgia. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 92,174 inhabitants. It is part of the metropolitan area of Atlanta. The county seat is Douglasville. The county was founded on October 1,1870 and was named in honor of Stephen A. Douglas, the Democratic presidential candidate in the 1860 election.
