Dawson County
Dawson County is a county in the US state of Georgia. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 15,999 inhabitants. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The county seat is Dawsonville. The county was founded on December 3,1857 and was named in honor of William Crosby Dawson, a senator from Georgia.
