Poinsett County
Poinsett County is a county in the US state of Arkansas. At the 2000 census the county had a population of 25,614. The county seat is Harrisburg. It is part of the Jonesboro metropolitan area. The county was founded on February 28,1838 and was named in honor of Joel Roberts Poinsett, a physicist, botanist and American statesman.
