Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is a Spanish province of the autonomous community of Canarias, formed by the islands of La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Tenerife, as well as by a series of adjacent roques. The province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the westernmost and southernmost Spanish province. It is also the third most mountainous province in Spain due to the unevenness of the terrain, although the first in maximum altitude, because it is the highest altitude in the country, the Teide peak. In 2018, the province had 1,018,510 inhabitants. It is the second Canarian province in population, although the first in density.

The capital of the province is the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, located on the island of Tenerife, the most populated island of the Canary Islands and the most populated in Spain. It is also the capital of the autonomous community of Canary Islands next to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
