Province of Itata
The province of Itata is a province of the Ñuble Region in Chile, recently created. Its current territory was part, until 2018, of the former province of Ñuble, which, being elevated to the category of region -and divided from the Biobío Region- was in turn divided into three provinces: Diguillín, Punilla and Itata. The provincial capital is Quirihue.
