Central
The Central District, is the largest district of Botswana in terms of area and population. Circles the traditional homeland of the Bamangwato. The politicians Seretse Khama, Festus Mogae and Seretse Ian Khama are originally from this region. The main population of the district is concentrated in Palapye and Serowe, two of the largest towns in Africa. The district also has the sub-tributaries of the Limpopo, prone to floods when sudden rains drain to the east of the river.
