Panjshir
Panjshīr, is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan. Established on April 13,2004. It has a population of approximately 307,620 inhabitants and its surface area is 3,610 km². The capital is Bazarak. Ahmed Shah Massoud, known as "The Lion of Panjshir", was a famous leader killed in a suicide attack on September 9,2001.
