Vieux Fort or Vieux-Fort is an administrative district located on the southern tip of the island of Santa Lucia, a small country in the Caribbean area located north of Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago. According to the 2001 census, the region has a population of 14,757 inhabitants. Both the city and its surroundings are a popular destination among tourists who visit the island. Originally it was a fishing region but with the construction of the Hewanorra International Airport the area has begun to urbanize. Among the attractions of the region stands Micoud and the Mamiku Gardens.
