Duarte

Duarte is one of the 32 provinces of the Dominican Republic. It was named in honor of Juan Pablo Duarte, father of the country's homeland. In this same city, the National parade commemorates the birth of Duarte. On January 26 of each year, hundreds of thousands of people gather to witness the National parade in the central park of this city. San Francisco de Macorís being the capital of the Duarte province and the eighth most important city of the Dominican Republic.
