Otjozondjupa

Otjozondjupa is one of the fourteen regions of Namibia. An exceptional landmark within this region is the Waterberg National Park. Grootfontein, Otavi, Otjiwarongo, and Okahandja are linked by rail and by the main trunk route that goes from south to north. The communication systems between these zones are also of high standard. The agricultural-livestock activities of Okahandja and Otjiwarongo are homogeneous, these areas being known for their livestock. Otavi and the Grootfontein districts, and to a lesser extent also Otjiwarongo, are the granary of Namibia. The region also has great potential to establish industries related to such agricultural-livestock activities and their by-products. Additionally, it has the advantage of combining communal and commercial agriculture in the same region.

In the east, Otjozondjupa borders the Northwest District of Botswana. In the country, it borders the following regions: Omaheke - southeast. Khomas - south. Erongo - southwest. Kunene - northwest Oshikoto - north. West Kavango - northeast. East Kavango - northeastOtjozondjupa borders more regions than any other region of Namibia.
