Western Province
The Western Province is the largest extension of the Solomon Islands. Its main archipelago are the New Georgia Islands. It has many small lagoons and is the largest recipient of tourism after the country's capital, Honiara. The provincial capital is Gizo, a city with 3,000 inhabitants.
