East New Britain
New East Britain is one of the 19 provinces of Papua New Guinea. It comprises the northeast of the island of New Britain, with a total area of 15,816 km² and a population of 220,133 people according to the census carried out in the year 2000. Its capital is Kokopo, a city near Rabaul, the former capital, which was destroyed in 1994 because of a volcanic eruption
