Northern Province
Oro Province, currently called the province of the North, is a coastal province of Papua New Guinea, whose capital is Popondetta. The province covers an area of 22,800 km2, and according to the 2000 census had a population of 133,065 inhabitants. In the extreme north, the Kokoda Trail ends in the village of the same name, where you can find the active Mount Lamington volcano.
