Savannahkhét
Savannakhet is a province of Laos. The name Savannakhet derives from the words Savanh Nakhone, which means "City of Paradise", which is the original name of the province. It is located in the south of the country. It borders the provinces of Khammouan to the north, Salavan to the south, the country of Vietnam to the east, and Thailand to the west. It has an area of 21,174 km².
