Kapisa
Kāpīsā, is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan located in the east of the country. Its capital is Mahmud-i-Raqi, being other districts Kohistan, Nigrab and Tagab. The population of Kāpīsā is calculated between 262,000 and 270,000 inhabitants, although there has never been an official figure. The surface of the province is 1,871 km2. Once there was a large textile company in the demarcation, which was destroyed during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The Albiruny University was recently established, with engineering, medicine, law and literature agendas.
